But still, Soderbergh or Haneke could have put more of a point on it. The climactic twist isn't entirely predictable. They continue to watch, get turned on, and even go so far as planting a listening device. The very first time they look, they watch the couple in that apartment have sex.

The young couple move into an apartment in Montreal with windows that look directly into an apartment across the street.

These auteurs would have found a style befitting of the material that would have made it seem plausible, that would have kept us engrossed, and that, hopefully, would not have required the ridiculous, jarring twists and turns that the movie ends on. Not only is "The Voyeurs" the kind of movie Steven Soderbergh makes, I also wish that he had made it. (As an aside Sydney Sweeney fans should look up teenage Irish busker Allie Sherlock, their faces are spitting images of each other.) The production values are good, the acting is fine, the story has some interesting elements. There is a Pippa line, my favorite, about 20 minutes from the end, "Tell me this one thing and you'll never see me again." The most common votes so far are "6" and "7" which is about right for this movie. If a movie does nothing more than make you think "What would I do in a similar situation?" then it has some value. The cinematography is done very interestingly, the sound is excellent. If you like this sort of movie, there are several new things and a bit of wicked revenge, then followed by more wicked revenge. And I won't even mention the sexy soft porn scenes from about 1:21 to 1:25 into the movie, showcasing Ms Sweeney's ample assets. The story builds nicely towards several interesting twists during the second half. It seems few residents pull curtains all the way shut so that makes for some interesting visuals. They get a downtown apartment in a medium-rise building, and a similar apartment building is right across the street. Set and filmed in Montreal it starts with a young dating couple moving in together. It can be considered a modern fable, not all of it has to be realistic. While it borrows only slightly from "Rear Window" it is a unique story about observing others and the ethics involved. So especially ignore the reviews that say this is a trash movie and not worth the time to see it.

For a more detailed look at the car, read on for the rest of our review. Many newer IMDb users don't have a clue how to meaningfully review a movie. It doesn't offer the last word in polish, desirability or badge appeal – and we've yet to see how it performs in a Euro NCAP crash test – but it's the most accessible route into electric family-car ownership yet. Given its combination of low price, good range, strong performance and extensive standard equipment levels, it's hard not to recommend the MG 5.

A real-world range of over 200 miles (from the larger-battery model introduced in July 2021) will cover the needs of most buyers, but zero road tax, negligible Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) tax for company-car drivers and an excellent seven-year warranty will bring down other running costs, too the warranty cover in particular is better than all but one or two rivals. It’s a similar story inside, with a practical cabin, plenty of kit and a larger boot than many cars at the 5’s price point, but its real trump card is running costs. From the outside, you’d barely be able to identify it as an electric car, and while that’s partly down to it being based on a conventional Chinese family car that also offers petrol power, the subtlety should also appeal to those put off by futuristic designs. What the 5 lacks in excitement it makes up for in the areas that suit sensible, value-orientated consumers – something not many electric vehicles have done up until now. As of early 2022, this has completely superseded the original version and is the only variant of the MG 5 SW that you can order as a new car.

MG enhanced the 5 SW's appeal further in mid-2021, introducing a new Long Range model with a larger battery for a 250-mile official range. Apart from the very expensive Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, it's the only pure-electric estate currently on sale in the UK, so SUVs like the Kia e-Niro, Peugeot e-2008 and Hyundai Kona Electric serve as its main rivals. The 5 SW is based on the Chinese-market Roewe Ei5 – both brands are part of the huge SAIC group.

Both represent excellent value for money: this is a well equipped electric estate car that costs about the same as the smaller and less practical Renault ZOE and Honda e city cars. The MG 5 SW was the second electric model launched by the brand in the UK, following on from the ZS EV, the cheapest electric SUV on sale.
